So Quiet now~~~
Anyway! I'm here to announce that I am place in the waiting list of Wheelock College Singapore.

Wants to know what's your opinion about me going over to Wheelock College Boston.
Mum is saying if I want to study then go lo~.
Sister says it's not a very good idea to go for now.But it's still my choice and how I make the best out of it.

Was thinking of taking up a job at a centre and gain experience while waiting for the "drop out or withdraw" students to give me space to study! Ha~ But I'm very much afraid that I would want to stay in comfort zone once I got a stable job. I'm like those who, have job- work, have school-study kind of attitude.

Another thought is to apply for Wheelock Spring intake. Provided that I pass my English at British Council which I have yet to apply for the examination.

Hmmm, comments?

  3. Lulu, sorry for the late response.

Perhaps try to ask yourself these questions and you might get the answer:
1). are u really keen to go to Boston to study?
2). is this the only choice you have? any other similar courses available?

Would be good to go overseas to study but frankly, i would be very worried for you, because you would be all alone in such a faraway place.. sob sob

  4. sis, if lulu dun go Boston, she will be taking up the one in SIN which she is tentatively waiting for people to drop out or give up their seats as she is on the waiting list. Nothing is confirm at all. In the meantime she will find a job to work first. But bet she fear that she might get comfy in the job and give up the whole idea of studying thus she is in a delimma ba...

  5. Hello!!! haha Sorry for the late response!

Well,I don't see if there is any difference in value between the two places of study as they are from the same college.
The difference I see on the surface is that, by going to Boston it would really test on my independance in study. And as for the time wise, it depends very much on how I tie up my modules over at Boston. It can range from 2 to 4 years based on what my seniors said.

Spring intake is actually next year which application will opens during July-August.

From what I understand from Sis comment is that it far and I'll be all alone. And the fact that if I really wants to be in this field for long. Well, the things is that I'm just basing on what I have. If I have the chance I'll go for it if not I can't possibly force the chance out but to take an alternative route.

There are also course in Singapore but think about it that it's not that I don' have what it takes to study at Boston now why not go for the one that is much of value in the market then to for one that I know and would probably not motivate me to continue. And yeap, I'm tentatively waiting for people to give up space or drop out from that 63 intake! HAHA!

  6. So you mean if you are going to take it in singapore, have to wait for the spring intake? so means you have to wait for one year?

if you take the boston one, when will it start?

and and, no matter you study in singapore or boston also need 2 to 4 years? if you are going boston for so long, are you really sure you are ready to put aside alot of things in singapore? (:

sorry i got so many queries in my brain before i can comment. hahaha.

  7. Hello! Jia Jia!!! haha!
For Singapore I have to wait till there is space which means it can last up till next years and to apply again and for Boston, I only can apply for Spring intake which is next year. Boston will start during August or Feb depending on which intake I go for.

The college in Singapore had already helped us to tie up the module into two years but for bostons it really depends on how I'm gonna tie them up.

I wonder what are the things that I need to put aside in Singapore too! And the only thing is Family~ Far it may seems but it's always heartwarming to still be able to see you all through cams and photos, contact through this blog, mails and MSN! Coming back with some qualifications would be an honour for me and bring our family proud.

    Loves all!!

  8. Hmmm so be it Boston or SIN you also might have to wait to next year hur! I must admit that studying abroad really will test your tolerance level and up your independence but I must also say that it is not easy! Its really your choice which you wanna and like you said, we can always still keep in touch like what we all are doing now.

But but but come to think of it, if in SIN already all tied up for you, just need two years, it really sound like a better deal. And I am sure it will also be cheaper to study in SIN too...things are not cheap here in the states and alot of things are very different. Plus if you study in Boston, all examples they quote will be more based on the demographics and lifestyle of the americans. So if you gonna be working in SIN, the context might be a little different! You need to think about that too ya!

If you are really lost, why not you try to apply for the Boston one too and see how many years you need to study plus total cost fee and all...and at the same time, wait for the availability in SIN...end of day, if both also have slot then its your call to weigh the pros and cons of them and make a final decision. This will be what I will do ba...

    Hope my comments help :p

  9. i think the study duration in boston really depends on how lulu arrange her modules herself ba, like what i am doing now. so they wont be able to give her a confirmation too.

and i guess she mean that singapore she have to wait for one year for the slot, but boston have available places for her! (:

still, ya, the expenses gonna be a huge amount if its like 3 to 4 years! again, i think that if its 3-4 years there. might as well you wait for the singapore intake next year. still will graduate about the same time?

unless you feel that the experience is what you really want. haha! (:
