My Daughter

Hey dears, This is hot news from the oven... i am going to have a daughter soon. :) It started one month ago, when i confided in my mother in law that the fortune teller said i would be lonely till death, as i would not have any child of my own. Then she is very kind and immediately suggested that i adopt a child, or a god-child. Out of a sudden, kor's cousin (meimei) came to visit me, together with her 15 months' old daughter. Then my mother in law blurted out and asked meimei if i could be her daughter's godmother. Without hesitation, she said YES. But then spelt some disagreements... (which i would explain next time)... anyway, time passed... it is nearing 15th of the lunar 8th month... (tomolo).. which is an auspicious date for such rites. So, meimei mentioned it again, and kor didn't object. But the meimei's parents wanted it to be an official ritual, so that everybody would treat our god-relationship seriously. Well, now pending the approval from the gods, i think.. haha... they will seek approval this Sunday. If everything approved, i would have a god-daughter officially. And her name very nice... called Si Min. 思敏

    Aiyo, at first I still tot u r pregnant leh...but then again ya, god daughter also good hur :) But is the family good or not? Must check all your eight characters oo...dun anyhow oo...really happy for u...hmmm come to think of it, then wont we be having an extra niece in the family? Heehee :)

    hmmm. goddaughter and adoption different la. i read and thought there might be a chance you will be adopting. haha. that sounds so cool.

    the comparison with bryan look very funny la. haha. yeah, next time maybe can bring her to our family gathering also. =P bryan got a sister! haha.

    Well, we have consulted zai zai, he said it is a very good arrangement for us to have a god-daughter, as the 8 characters of me, kor and simin match very well. so confirm bryan has a god-sister lo... he is kinda excited, he kept asking me if i am excited hahaha.. and even asked me if he is able to see simin frequently hahaha...

    As for Jia's comments on adoption, well, i hv been wanting to adopt one. But kor dun really fancy the idea. Plus if we are going to adopt a China born baby, we have to take almost 3 weeks leave to go and do the admin stuff in China, plus a lot of paperwork and home background checkings.. which really dampens my spirits. So, i just have to kiv it lor... pssss... actually it had been my birthday wishes for so many years that kor will agree to adopt a baby. But sigh... i never say it out only. :P so i think birthday wishes if left unspoken, will never be realised.. HAHAHA!!!
